彩木久留美（深田恭子饰）原是名普通女交警，正当她准备辞职和恋人伸吾（玉木宏饰）结婚时，却突然被调去刑警科搜查一课。久留美被指派给刑警冰室光三郎（堂本光一饰）做副手，奇怪的是冰室警官始终呆在地下室里不肯出门，每次都是通过推理，以“遥控”的方式指导久留美抓住犯人。久留美渐渐从旁处得知冰室警官的“自闭”真相：原来一年前，冰室的女友被绑架，他前往救人，却因在黑暗中开枪致使女友死亡，冰室的心理也因此蒙上了巨大的阴影。没想到这一次，相似的故事又发生在久留美的头上……
